I am writing this letter to you out of concern for our local, state, and federal governments. Since 09.11.2001 the world has radically changed. In the time since 9/11 our country has been drawn into a world wide conflict with Islamofascism, much the same way America was drawn into World War II with the surprise attack of the Japanese on Pearl Harbor.
Since this time our country has had some problems especially in the area of philosophical beliefs. A part of our belief system in America is that all religions are equal and good. And in theory I would agree. For a government official if a religion bring peace, harmony, and fulfillment to a constituent then all the better. A person who follows a religion usually is a model citizen. Which is great for society. But not the case in Islamofascism.
After 9/11 I started researching this relatively unknown religion (at least in America) to find out why members of a religion would perpetrate such a horrible crime on our country with the 9/11 attacks. Over 3000 people that day died as members of Islam cheered with glee to see the towers fall and to know that so many people were killed. I think I found some of those answers. Not all religions are equal. Let me explain.
What is Islamofascism?
Islamofascism is the term that we have come up with to describe those who have taken up Jihad against those who are not Muslim. So what is a Muslim? How do we define what a Muslim is? Well in Christianity a devout follower would be one that follows the Bible to the letter. We have come to know them as fundamental Christians. A fundamental Christian reads the Bible and takes what it says “literally” unless taking it literally does not make sense, and then it is taken as allegory. Islamofascism does the same thing. These are people who read their Quran and Hadith’s and take what is written literally and put it in practice. They are not evil people as we know them. An evil person would say it is wrong to say kill someone. That person accepts that it is wrong and does it anyway. But an Islamofascists reads their Quran and puts what it says into practice. Muslims are just practicing their religion. So what does the Quran have to say about our current situation and what is a Muslim?
What are basic Islamic Beliefs?
The five pillars of Islam
According to wikipedia: The Five Pillars of Islam (Arabic: أركان الإسلام) is the term given to the five duties incumbent on every Muslim. These duties are Shahadah (profession of faith), Salah (ritual prayer), Zakah (alms tax), Sawm (fasting during Ramadan), and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). These five practices are essential to Sunni Islam. Shi'a Muslims subscribe to eight ritual practices which substantially overlap with the Five Pillars.[1]
Shahadah
Main article: Shahadah
*لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله
The Shahadah (Arabic: شهادة (help•info) transliteration: Šahādah) is the basic creed or tenet of Islam: "'ašhadu 'al-lā ilāha illā-llāhu wa 'ašhadu 'anna muħammadan rasūlu-llāh", or "I testify that there is no god (ilah) but Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah". As the most important pillar, this testament is a foundation for all other beliefs and practices in Islam. Ideally, it is the first words a newborn will hear, and children are taught as soon as they are able to understand it and it will be recited when they die. Muslims must repeat the shahadah in prayer, and non-Muslims wishing to convert to Islam are required to recite the creed.[2] Technically the Shi'a do not consider the Shahadah to be a separate pillar, but connect it to the beliefs.[3]
Salah
Main article: Salah
The second pillar of Islam is Salah, the requirement to pray five times a day at fixed times.[4] Each salah is performed facing towards the Kaaba in Mecca. Salah is intended to focus the mind on Allah; it is seen as a personal communication with Allah, expressing gratitude and worship. According to the Qur'an, the benefit of prayer "restrains [one] from shameful and evil deeds".[Qur'an 29:40][4] Salah is compulsory but some flexibility in the specifics is allowed depending on the circumstances.[5] For example, in the case of sickness or lack of space, a worshipper can offer salah while sitting, or even lying down, and the prayer can be shortened when traveling.[5]
The salah must be performed in the Arabic language to the best of each worshipper's ability. If he or she cannot speak Arabic, then their native language can be used. The lines of prayer are to be recited by heart (although beginners may use written aids), and the worshipper's body and clothing, as well as the place of prayer, must be cleansed.[5] All prayers should be conducted within the prescribed time period (waqt) and with the appropriate number of units (raka'ah). While the prayers may be made at any point within the waqt, it is considered best to begin them as soon as possible after the call to prayer is heard.[6]
Zakah
Main article: Zakah
Zakah, or alms-giving, is the practice of charitable giving by Muslims based on accumulated wealth, and is obligatory for all who are able to do so. It is considered to be a personal responsibility for Muslims to ease economic hardship for others and eliminate inequality.[7] Zakah consists of spending a fixed portion of one's wealth for the benefit of the poor or needy, including slaves, debtors and travelers. A Muslim may also donate more as an act of voluntary charity (sadaqah), in order to achieve additional divine reward.[8]
There are two main types of zakah. First, there is the zakah on traffic, which is a fixed amount based on the cost of food that is paid during the month of Ramadan by the head of a family for himself and his dependents. Second, there is the zakah on wealth, which covers money made in business, savings, income, and so on.[9] In current usage zakah is treated as a 2.5% levy on most valuables and savings held for a full lunar year, as long as the total value is more than a basic minimum known as nasal (three ounces or 87.48g of gold). As of 16 October 2006, nisab is approximately US$1,750 or an equivalent amount in any other currency.[10] Many Shi'ites are expected to pay an additional amount in the form of a khums tax, which they consider to be a separate ritual practice.[11]
Sawm
Main article: Sawm
Three types of fasting (Sawm) are recognized by the Qur'an: Ritual fasting,[2:183-187] fasting as compensation or repentance,[2:196] and ascetic fasting.[33:35][12]
Ritual fasting is an obligatory act during the month of Ramadan.[13] Muslims must abstain from food, drink, and sexual intercourse from dawn to dusk during this month, and are to be especially mindful of other sins.[13] The fast is meant to allow Muslims to seek nearness to Allah, to express their gratitude to and dependence on him, to atone for their past sins, and to remind them of the needy.[14] During Ramadan, Muslims are also expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam by refraining from violence, anger, envy, greed, lust, harsh language, gossip and to try to get along with each other better than normal. In addition, all obscene and irreligious sights and sounds are to be avoided.[15]
Fasting during Ramadan is not obligatory for several groups for whom it would be excessively problematic. These include pre-pubescent children, those with a medical condition such as diabetes, elderly people, and pregnant or breastfeeding women. Observing fasts is not permitted for menstruating women. Other individuals for whom it is considered acceptable not to fast are those in combat and travelers who intended to spend fewer than five days away from home. Missing fasts usually must be made up soon afterwards, although the exact requirements vary according to circumstance.[16][17][18][19]
Hajj
Main article: Hajj
The Hajj is a pilgrimage that occurs during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah in the city of Mecca. Every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so is obliged to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in his or her lifetime.[20] When the pilgrim is around ten kilometers from Mecca, he must dress in Ihram clothing, which consists of two white sheets.[21] Main rituals of the Hajj include walking seven times around the Kaaba, touching the Black Stone, running seven times between Mount Safa and Mount Marwah, and symbolically stoning the Devil in Mina.[21]
The pilgrim, or the haji, is honored in his or her community. For some, this is an incentive to perform the Hajj. Islamic teachers say that the Hajj should be an expression of devotion to Allah, not a means to gain social standing. The believer should be self-aware and examine his or her intentions in performing the pilgrimage. This should lead to constant striving for self-improvement.[22]
Shia viewpoint
In addition to these pillars, Shi'a Muslims consider three additional practices essential to the religion of Islam. The first is jihad, which is also important to the Sunni, but not considered a pillar. The second is Amr-Bil-Ma'rūf, the "Enjoining to Do Good", which calls for every Muslim to live a virtuous life and to encourage others to do the same. The third is Nahi-Anil-Munkar, the "Exhortation to Desist from Evil", which tells Muslims to refrain from vice and from evil actions and to encourage others to do the same.[23]
Now that we have established what the core beliefs are to Islam we can now figure out what it means to an Islamofascists.
You have probably heard or read in print media about verses in the Quran that speak positively about Christians and Jews or verses that encourage kindness. You may have wondered do these verses really exist?
Here is the answer to that mystery: The Quran is filled with contradictions. You can find verses where Christians are complimented as well as verses where Christians are condemned to hell. There are other contradictions as well. For example, there was much drinking of alcohol in Arabian society during Muhammad’s day. One revelation told Arabs to stop drinking alcohol when going to mosque for prayer, but when prayers were finished they could resume drinking. Later another verse came and prohibited alcohol all the time. Compare Surah 2:219 and Surah 5:90.
Islamic scholars had to determine therefore which verses to follow in the case of contradiction. This was accomplished by the principle of naskh.
Naskh is based on the fact that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad at different times over a period of about twenty years. Some parts of the Quran came later, and some parts earlier. To solve this contradiction they decided that new revelations would override (Naskh) previous revelations. To verify what I said is true I have included a link to Wikipedia
There are at least 114 verses in the Quran that speak of love, peace, and forgiveness, especially in the Surah titled “The Heifer” (Surah 2:62, 109). But Surah 9:5 was revealed later, it cancelled out those previous verses. Surah 9:5 states the following: And so, when the sacred months are over [6] , slay those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God wherever you may come upon them, [7] and take them captive, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every conceivable place [8] ! Yet if they repent, and take to prayer, and render the purifying dues, let them go their way: for, behold, God is much forgiving, a dispenser of grace. [9]
This is known as the verse of the sword, and it explains that Muslims must fight anyone who chooses not to convert to Islam, whether they are inside or outside of Arabia. It is considered to represent the final development of jihad in Islam. The principle of naskh is very strong. If a verse is naskh or overridden it is as if that verse doesn’t exist.
Jihad
We find Jihad as a command to ALL Muslims enforced by the Quran. The focus of Jihad is to overcome people who do not accept Islam. In Muhammad’s day jihad was therefore practiced against Christians and Jews on a regular basis, as well as people who were idol worshipers, anyone who did not convert to Islam. (See Surah 2:217; 4:71-104; 8:24-36, 39-65.)
Let’s let the Quran speak for itself.
Surah 4:89 They would love to see you deny the truth even as they have denied it, so that you should be like them. Do not, therefore, take them for your allies until they forsake the domain of evil [108] for the sake of God; and if they revert to [open] enmity, seize them and slay them wherever you may find them. And do not take any of them [109] for your ally or giver of succour.
Surah 47:4 NOW WHEN you meet [in war] those who are bent on denying the truth, [4] smite their necks until you overcome them fully, and then tighten their bonds; [5] but thereafter [set them free,] either by an act of grace or against ransom, so that the burden of war may be lifted: [6] thus [shall it be]. And [know that] had God so willed, He could indeed punish them [Himself]; but [He wills you to struggle] so as to test you [all] by means of one another. [7] And as for those who are slain in God’s cause, never will He let their deeds go to waste:
Surah 9:123 O you who have attained to faith! Fight against those deniers of the truth who are near you, and let them find you adamant ; [163] and know that .God is with those who are conscious of Him.
Surah 8:67 IT DOES NOT behove a prophet to keep captives unless he has battled strenuously on earth. [72] You may desire the fleeting gains of this world-but God desires [for you the good of] the life to come: and God is almighty, wise.
Surah 8:59 And let them not think - those who are bent on denying the truth -that they shall escapee [63] [God]: behold, they can never frustrate [His purpose].
Surah 8:60 Hence, make ready against them whatever force and war mounts [64] you are able to muster, so that you might deter thereby the enemies of God, who are your enemies as well, [65] and others besides them of whom you may be unaware, [but] of whom God is aware; and whatever you may expend [66] in God's cause shall be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.
Not all Muslims participate in the actual fighting of Jihad. But all Muslims support it. They support it with their tithes, their prayers, and the training of children to take up the call of jihad to fulfill the ultimate goal, to make the entire world Muslim.
Now what?
We have a choice as Americans. We can either hold on to our belief that all religions are equal and good, or we have to accept the fact that some religions from their very core are evil. Are Muslims themselves evil? I do not believe so. They are just following their religion and doing what it says to do. The problem lies with the Quran not the people. We must deal with this at the core of the problem, not the symptoms.
What we can do
Mosques
Monitoring all mosques in our country would provide critical information in the fight against Islamofascism. Almost every one of our over 1200 mosque’s in this country is a "Wahhabi" mosque. Nearly all mosques were financed by Saudi Arabia and are predominantly "Wahhabi".
Wahhabi theology treats the Qur'an and Hadith as fundamental texts, interpreted upon the understanding of the first three generations of Islam and further explained by many various commentaries including that of Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab. His book called Kitab al-Tawhid ("Book of Monotheism"), and the works of the earlier scholar Ibn Taymiyya (1263–1328) are fundamental to Wahabism.
Here is what Wikipedia has to say about the Wahhabi movement.
In 1924 the al-Saud dynasty (who were influenced by the teachings of Abdul Wahhab) conquered Mecca and Medina, the Muslim holy cities. This gave them control of the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage, and the opportunity to preach their version of Islam to the assembled pilgrims. However, Wahhabism was a minor current within Islam until the discovery of oil in Arabia, in 1932. Vast oil revenues gave an immense impetus to the spread of conservative Islamic theology. Saudi laypeople, government officials and clerics have donated many tens of millions of US dollars to create religious schools, newspapers and outreach organizations.[citation needed]
This theology spread into Oman during the 18th century where it played a role in the internal disputes and succession struggles of the country. Ultimately however, its influence lessened over time despite early success. Its alliance with the House of Saud became strained after the September 11, 2001 attacks and suicide bombings in Riyadh in May, 2003.[9][10]
Some[attribution needed] argue that Hassan al-Banna, the Egyptian founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, was influenced by the Wahhabis, although he was a traditional Sunni. The Muslim Brotherhood claimed to be purifying and restoring Islam, a theme which ran through Abdul Wahhab's preaching, but its goal was to unify Muslims of different madhhabs to restore the Caliphate or Islamic law in Egypt. When the Muslim Brotherhood was banned in various Middle Eastern countries, Saudi Arabia gave refuge to Brotherhood exiles. However Salafis in Saudi Arabia reject the Muslim Brotherhood and other ideas they believe contravene Salafist theology.[11]
There are also those who argue that Saudi promotion of Wahhabism as part of a Sunni-Shi'a rivalry contributed to the development of the religious ideology of Al-Qaeda [Quist, B. Wayne and Drake, David F., "Winning the War on Terror: A Triumph of American Values," iUniverse, 2005]. Mattson points out that [some] Saudi scholars of Wahhabism have denounced terrorism.[12]
Communications
The monitoring of telephone and internet is absolutely essential to our intelligence in our fight against Islamofascism. All communications going outside our country and all communications that have “tripped” a recording system for keywords like Allah, Jihad, and others need to be monitored continuelessly. I know we can not “spy” on our citizens and use it against them legally, but monitoring communications could prevent the next 9/11.
Jihadist Training Centers
Yes you read it right. America has many Islamic training centers all over the country. No not a place to learn what the Quran has to say, but camps setup to train American and foreign Jihadist to perpetrate crimes like 9/11 against the US and other countries in the world.
Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration has had such a negative impact on our country. Americans have lost jobs to illegals, our standard of living has dropped, they are a drain on society (through services, health care, and education), and jihadi’s have poured over our open borders.
According to World net daily President Bush's top intelligence aide has confirmed that Iraqi terrorists have been captured coming into the United States from Mexico. The confirmation comes from National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell, who talked about the situation in an interview with the El Paso Times recently.
The Fort Dix Six were all immigrants from Islamic countries. Two of them entered the U.S. through the Mexican border and were here illegally for over twenty years.
MS-13 is a notorious gang and has been called “The Most Dangerous Gang in America” has been smuggling illegal immigrants for years and has brought over 10,000 terrorists since 2001.
Terrorists are pouring over our borders and plotting the downfall of our great country.
Our borders need to be closed immediately. National Guard needs to be deployed along our borders to keep illegal’s out. Electronic surveillance including satellites need to be deployed to monitor our borders and track the movements of these criminals.
Keeping our borders open is the equivalent of treason at this point in time. You as a government official are sworn to defend your continuants from those who would do us harm foreign and domestic. Keeping the borders open and letting illegals stay in our country is “National Suicide”.
My Plea
Will you as our elected government official do your duty and defend us from these threats? Will you make the hard decisions and accept the fact that Islam, and all of Islam is a threat to the whole world? Will you listen to the voice of your people and take action against our enemies both foreign and domestic?
