yea i noticed that too, there were something like 147 comments and all but a handfull said ron paul was the winner, was wondering why i can't find that blog now.

How much filthier can the big media outlets get regarding shutting down Ron Paul. It seems like everyone up in the circles of power is scared shitless about the revolution that this guy could bring to Washington if elected. Imagine, a president that would be governing with the average people in mind, how can that be allowed?

I got caught in that wrong page about an hour ago after watching the debate, and looking around at the choices. I was wondering why hillary and obama were listed. Had to dig to find the correct page. I didn't agree with all the other CNN voters, but Ron Paul was my first choice. Gravel would be my 2nd. Kucinich is interesting.

what sort of country are we living in now? cnn did have a poll for the june 5 debates, and Ron Paul won at 53% last i saw it, but now there is nothing but the poll for the last dem, debate. cnn should be caused to report the truth.

Ron Paul won the debate. He is the only candidate that seems to be honest and not out of touch. He is also anti-amnesty and believes that Americans have the right to privacy and believes in property rights (anti-eminent domain: none of the other candidates have even touched it). Before this debate I was unsure about who to support (Democrat or Republican) and with this debate I’m totally with Ron Paul.

Giuliani was terrible. He ran around questions. Even God doesn’t want to hear him speak. Though only about 4 of 10 candidates answered what is the worst thing that GWB has done as president.

If the Republican party wants a NYC mayor, look no further than Bloomberg. The people of NYC replaced Giuliani with Bloomberg just months after 9/11 and never looked back. He cleaned up all of Giuliani’s messes.

By the way, if Giuliani loves the war on terror so much, why doesn’t he marry it?

Without question Dr. Ron Paul won this debate. It was especially clear how these neo-cons contradict themselves regarding the morals question. It is clear they do NOT value all life in their actions with pre-emptive illegal wars killing hundreds of thousands including our own brave soldiers. Ron Paul clearly stood out as the only candidate that would rally the country to lead by example. We cannot continue to simply say we value life yet act in manner,globally that indicates otherwise.

Terrible hosting by Wolf Blitzer. When a candidates time is up, the microphone should be cut off. I ended up hearing too many smoke and mirrors from the upper tier candidates and not enough from the lower tier.

CNN did a poor job. All the post-debate talk is about the 3 “main” candidates (those who have received exorbinate amounts of funds from special interests) who hogged all the limelight during the debate. Only one candidate really stands out to me in both parties and that is Rep. Ron Paul from Texas. Dr. Paul is the only candidate that to me seems incorruptible. Not only does he abstain from participating in the lucrative congressional pension program but he has also never voted to raise taxes and he has never voted to raise congressional pay. To me he is by far the most unique and powerful candidate. Whether he is speaking about foreign policy or immigration he is a true conservative.

I understand it was to keep the debate moving, but at the same time, Ron Paul is a significant candidate. He has a fertile grassroots campaign, and it is growing. I would have to say Ron Paul. I spent the last two hours focusing on what was said, and I’ve heard it all before. We need a decent change in America, one that’s actually does something and truly represents our needs as a people, not faceless golbal corporations. All the other same old canadates are bought and paid for, so they lead you down the same old path. Blizter, like a good little media droid steered everything to the “big three” and completely disenfranchised the other seven. I really don’t have to listen to the debates to know who won my vote, because I know how he’s voted since the day he was elected, Ron Paul.
All anyone has to do is check a talk ticker and it will show that CNN will marginalize everyone they don’t deem as relavent just like in the Dem’s debate.

Ron Paul won the debate. There hasn’t been a single mention of him yet in the post-debate show. If I hear Anderson Cooper and Larry King talking about the so-called “top-tier” candidates I am going to puke. Ron Paul received 5 minutes and 51 seconds in speaking time. His comments were economical, intelligent, sharp, coherent, no wasted time or moments to any of his answers on seven oportunities. His final remark and only opportunity in the final hour was his best moment, on pre-emptive nuclear war. Republicans, particularly Romney, Giuliani, McCain and others had advocated/refused to rule out a tactical nuclear weapons strike if Iran gets nuclear materials! Since such an event is an inevitability, that is a giant nation like Iran -which is certainly entitled like Pakistan, India, Israel to nuclear power- gets fissionable energy, these candidates are assuring nuclear war in our near future.

Only Ron Paul repudiated this. He final statement on turning away from ‘just war’ to ‘pre-emptive war’ is the great issue of the debate, and he, as Stephen Colbert would say, nailed it.

If Ron Paul were not at this debate, a terrible ommission would have been made — no one else opposed the idea of nuclear war against Iran if they pursue nuclear power. Ron Paul reiterated that Iran is not a threat to the USA, and said pre-emptive war is madness and a violation of the American spirit, and Constitution.

Mitt Romney is a blue-blood blowhard that no ordinary working man or woman could relate to. Rudolph Giuliani is an authoritarian who will use his term in office to pursue a catastrophic failed foreign policy.

John Mccain was like Ceasar is the final remark of the evening, promising victory at any cost in Iraq, no matter how long it took. The man is sorely in need of his triumphant moment of military glory. When you factor in that all of them except Dr. Paul favored the war in Iraq, and are lukewarm about even ending it, and that all 9 favored or would not rule out pre-emptive use of nuclear weapons against Iran, which Dr. Paul rightly described as the moral dilemma of our time and supported what he called ” The Just War of Christian ethics “, which rules out any legitimacy to pre-emptive war.

Just like in the Democratic debate, there was nothing from the front-runners. How can anyone actually support these people?

Mitt Romney was awful. Did he actually say anything of substance? All I heard was a bunch “ain’t America great?” platitudes along with some stuff about selling products. Loved how he used the abortion question to run through all of his conservative credentials like he thought the debate was over and he’d better say this list of things. Well played, sir.

Rudy Giuliani actually made a good start with the idea of the tax credit to go buy your own health insurance and then degenerated into the “socialized medicine” claptrap. And poor John McCain. It’s been 7 years since the Straight Talk Express and it looks like that’s been parked in the roundhouse. Only place he looked like the old John McCain was on immigration.

Here’s who stood out to me: Ron Paul. I already like this guy’s willingness to break out of the bipartisan “indispensible nation” b.s. We’ve got a lot of problems here at home we need to be fixing before we start trying to run everybody else’s affairs. Mike Huckabee also came off well (although, yes, the Taliban can take some of the credit for the collapse of the Soviet Union. Afghanistan did turn into the USSR’s Vietnam after all). Duncan Hunter had a good point about state-to-state restrictions on health insurance, wish he’d gotten a chance to expound on what he’d do about that. And Sam Brownback, well, I deeply disagree with him on abortion and other morals issues, but I think he’s got a point that faith and science don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

If this thing ends up Rudy McRomney vs. Hilbama, I’ll probably end up voting 3rd party again.

I thought Romney was just Terrible. He spoke Over the host, many, many times. Thats just rude. Besides, Nothing he said made sense, so it only made me angry hearing him continue like that.

Mostly though, these people scare me. Premptive Nuclear War? God help us. I just started following the canidates a little bit, and this is what they are talking about?

The only person on that whole stage that made any sense at all was Ron Paul, I’d never even heard of him much before, but this guy speaks directly to the question. No puffing. I wish he would’ve gotten a little more time to talk on other issues.

I believe Ron Paul won, but I saw some strong showings from Romney, and Huckabee. I was disgusted by Giuliani, Brownback, and Tancredo.

Ron Paul made some of the best points.
Romney was very presenteable, and Huckabee’s evolution speech was handled very well.

Many of the candidates seemed somewhat flakey, and flip-flopped on issues they had said differently about before in their career.

I believe Ron Paul shined in this debate because he made it clear that our foreign policy is NOT working, so why stick with old tactics if they arent working?

He stands for TRUE conservatism and he is the ONLY Republican that would be able to get Independent and Democratic votes. I vote Ron Paul.

However all that changed when I saw Ron Paul in the 1st debate. How can someone with so much integrity and honor ,not too mention intelligence , be such an unknown? Id never heard of him!

Apparently God won the debate since nearly all the candidates attributed everything great in American to God and everything bad in America to illegial immigrants. Kudos to God. Good job.
I am an absolutely firm believer in a secular society. In this regard, I was very happy with Ron Paul for not catoring to the Christian fundamentalists by stating that the most pressing moral issue of our time was our emerging preemptive war doctrine.

Yeah, CNN was completely avoiding Ron Paul during the debate, then ontop of that during the "GOP DIvide" segment Post show, which i thought was gonna be basicly Ron Paul vs. everyone else, they mentioned him once in an hour long segment and immediatly changed subjects? WTF?

Oh btw, they said post show online rudy won the debate and ron paul only had 2% votes.... BS, ROn paul had over 1700 votes just after the debate at over 53% victory with Rudy at 13% third on the list next to McKAin.

I hope you found that these statements shed some light on the nature of our democracy and the true intent of our nation. I do not seek to attack you for doing your job, but rather to enlighten you to the fact that those in power, both in business and politics do not defend the ideals and principles expressed by our founders, indeed every corporation that has consolidated power such as General Electric which owns MSNBC seeks only to maintain the status quo in which their power and influence is assured and so it is understandable that they would seek to silence or discredit dissenting voices, but what you must understand is that in actively excercising an abuse of power to silence these voices, they are acting un-American and if you, either consciously or unconsciously, through free will or coercion comply with this agenda for reasons of self preservation are doing a great disservice to the nation and to our future.



I hope you will take these thoughts into consideration and perhaps even share them with your peers. In a perfect world I would love to see you take upon yourself your own revolution and defy the whims of your masters and give the public the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I noticed last night as CNN was talking about the button poll they did live. Intersting note, they were showing the scale on reaction to comments of candidates and as they were talking after making a few points on the Mofia Boss, the handsome dude and the military veteran with PTSD, in the background I saw a Ron Paul and the scale below him as he was talking.. The scale was through the roof... DId you also hear the supporters when ever he spoke... Look, face it... they are not going to cover him, his only chance is from the young folks via the net.

I tried to leave a comment on the Democrat Debate blog, and of course they have to be "approved". I have had it with all this censorship. CNN is BOYCOTTED! DO NOT WATCH THEM. Email them until they are FORCED to give Ron Paul fair treatment.

CNN did not allow my comment on the debate: CNN lost the debate by failing to keep it fair by insuring each candidate got the same amount of time. Also each get to answer each question. Ron Paul won because he focused on the Constitutional powers of office. The other spent as much time on how to govern Iraq as how to govern the US.

The media is ignoring the will of the people and are trying to force Rudy Mc Romney on us... What they are forgetting is that .. WE THE PEOPLE dont rely on the biased corporate controlled media to get the real news anymore...

Ron Paul is consistently polling at 0-1% of republican voters, yet his supporters continue to whine about him being ignored. His biggest support is on the internet, so perhaps he should run for the Internet Party. He is today's Howard Dean and tomorrow's forgotten man. He has been, throughout his time in Congress, THE most ineffectual person in Congress. His "celebrity" exists because he's sitting on stage with a bunch of prowar Reagan worshipers. Outside of his antiwar views Paul is a disaster and the only way he should enter the White House is as a guest

He just got 3% in the CNN/Wmur New Hampshire poll and he got almost 6% in the Utah GOP straw poll. In any case its better than the 0-1% you are quoting. It shows an uptrend and that my friend is a good thing

Ron Paul is a joke, as the MSNBC debate proved. His reply blaming Americans for 911 was an absolute classic foot-in-mouth moment. Legitimate polls done after the debate found that less than 1% thought he'd won -- by far the worst performance of any candidate. But putting that aside, are you saying that when Ron Paul supporters organize a campaign to spam CNN's message board -- in violation of CNN's usage rules -- CNN should just let them do it? CNN should acquiesce to being a tool of Ron Paul spinmeisters? I don't think so.

The July 2 guy is right. Those comments weren't a genuine groundswell of support for Ron Paul. Those comments were an orchestrated -- and pretty transparent -- attempt to make people believe Ron Paul is gaining momentum. He isn't -- even on the Internet -- and no amount of whining will change that. The Internet is a great medium for allowing a few people to shout and stomp their feet loudly, but only idiots and self-deceivers think that means anything.

I agree that CNN is a part of big media and their owners decide what goes, but dont let that take anything away from a man who is so similar to Ron Paul and would be a good choice for vice and thats Lou Dobbs. Anybody that has something bad to say about Dobbs does not know what they are talking about or they just hate CNN, just because he works for big media does not make him a enemy, and the things he believes in are the same things Ron Paul believes in so if your against Lou your against Ron. But heres a question. Will Ron Paul run as a independent if his own party craps on him as they have done the last many years? Those of you against Ron Paul and those who talk garbage about his supporters are the real joke, you are afraid of big change and are an enemy of me and real americans who care about this country and want to see change.
