Knowing your Bible is the number one best way to know how to live. God is much more knowledgeable than we are and if HE says [bestiality, fornication, homosexuality] are “…waxen great before the face of the LORD…” (Genesis 19:13) then we should heed the warning.
When God sent his angels to the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, I believe to testify to the people of their impending destruction due to their sin, the people turned on Lot and tried to harm the angels.
God dislikes sin so much HE has, on numerous occasions, destroyed the people committing the sin, condoning the sin, and everything in that area (trees, plants, animals, buildings, children, EVERYTHING).
Show and express how much Christ still loves the person, but not the sin. For we sinful humans to be angry and hateful to those committing sin, is useless. We can only point out what God says about those actions. Homosexuality is only one area where this can apply.
“9For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the LORD: walk as children of light: 10 Proving what is acceptable of the LORD. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” (Ephesians 5) “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment” (Philippians 1:9)
We can only do so much. God said that the world would come to this point and will get worse. We as citizens of Heaven must be diligent in our convictions, which are given of God, for two main reasons: we can continually show God our love for him and second so they (those who do not know Christ) too may inherit the kingdom of God.
I understand many cities across the US are being approached by homosexual groups trying to enact "local" laws allowing this life syle. If the local laws are not held to God's standards, be assured the state and federal government will not hold to them either. Example, Arkansas Family Council announced that "Eureka Springs City Council Considers Formal Recognition of Same-Sex Couples" to be voted on approximately in mid-May. Why? We as citizens overwhelmingly voted against it in 2004. Stay up-to date and involved...don't be an ostrich
