How to Win a Jehovah’s Witness or a Jewish person to Christ
With a KJV (an NIV won’t work)

1. Point him to Revelation 1:11 and read, “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and last’’:

2. Ask him, ”Who is the ’first and the last’? Who is speaking?’’

3. Every J.W. ( or a Jewish person even slightly versed in Scripture) will say, ‘’Jehovah,’’ based on Old testament verses such as Isaiah 44:6 or 48:12 which say, “I am the first, and the last…’’ ‘’I am he…’’

4. Then point him to Revelation 1:18. “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold I am alive for evermore,’’

5. Ask him, ‘’When was Jehovah dead?’’

6. Then they realize that Jesus Christ was ‘’God manifest in the flesh.’’ (1 Timothy 3:16)

7. This technique has been used to lead many J.W’s to Christ. NONE of this is in an NIV OR a Jehovah’s Witness New World Translation (NWT)!
KJV
Revelation 1:10-11 “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last; and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.”

NIV
Revelation 1:10-11 “On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

(KJV)Revelation 1:11 “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and last’’
Not only does the NWT or the NIV Translations not have this text but neither does the NAB, NASB, ESV, WE, RSV to name some. Reason being the text is spurious. Professor BeDuhn says "the KJV follows the textus receptus, which is a late, derivative, corrupted form of the Greek New Testament. In the last four hundred years, we have gained access to much earlier, much better Greek manuscripts which are closer to the what the original authors wrote, and have not had passages added to them by later scribes, as the textus receptus manuscripts have. That's why modern translations omit the spurious verses of the textus receptus, because they are not attested in the earlier manuscripts. And that's why the first portion of Rev. 1:11 found in the KJV does not appear in modern Bible translations, including the NWT." So the whole argument is based on fake text.

"God manifest in the flesh." (1 Timothy 3:16 KJV)
Once again another spurious text "God" in this text should read "who" as pointed out

I wonder if the writer who concluded the text in the KJV was fake believes that the persons mentioned were truly converted by the authors method. Would like a response personally, if possible dns@gospelcenter.us
