The New York Daily News's front page headline on Monday read "The Evil Has Landed", while the New York Post described Mr Ahmadinejad as "Madman Iran Prez".
Dozens of protesters gathered outside the university on Sunday, but Mr Bollinger defended the university's invitation, saying it was a question of free speech and academic freedom.
Isn't it telling that free speech is upheld at liberal colleges when liberals speak or an off the wall dictator who supports Americas demise along with Israel wishes to speak.
But let a conservative appear on the stage of a our liberal colleges and you will see censorship of the highest order where yelling, insulting and throwing objects at the
conservative speaker is condoned and even encouraged. How hypocritical can ya get?
How anti-American have the Colleges of America become? Free speech is NOT tolerated in
todays colleges, period... America is based on free speech, it's telling that the first place it is not tolerated is in our own colleges.
I have been a Democrat all my adult voting life. No longer... Both of the old boy parties are becoming so self serving they have forgotten America who they were formed to serve.
I'm looking for a viable third party that focuses on what is good for America and her future... How about you?
About the Author
One who is fed up with: Inability of some to recognize that Islam extremist will continue to seek Americas destruction even if we had never become involved anywhere overseas. Islamic writings demand followers to convert all infidels to Islam. Giving infidels only three choices. 1-convert to Islam, 2- loose all rights and serve Islamic leadership. 3-fight and die.. Read the Koran, Read the Iranian constitution, read history. They seek an Islamic world. Even moderate Islamic followers know this, that's why there is no outrage, demonstrations etc against terrorism. The continued attempts to legalize the 20 million illegal alien invaders occupying our land. And continuing to hold Border Security, enforcement of Immigration and hiring laws hostage until we approve accepting this Army who have through traffic accidents and murders killed more citizens than in Afghanistan, Iraq and 9/11 put together. The continued support for the Medical Insurance, pharmaceutical Empires and the limiting of Citizens to get cheaper medications in Canada and Mexico or to use Natural treatments and cures that are well known to the rest of the world. All the while Politicians have free medical coverage (universal health care)while 44 million citizens and growing have no insurance at all..

I found a viable third party in the Constitution Party. http://www.constitutionparty.com

The Constitution Party sounds good. But it would take away every protection the Working American has gained. Just because it is not spelled out in the Constitution as Minimum wage, 40 hour week, Right to Unionize etc, etc. It would not support an alternative Health Care System where every American would have Health Care, not just the ones who can afford it. No from what I read the Constitution Party sounds good but it would destroy things that are not unconstitutional but is not called for in the constitution. See, whether we want to admit it or not, we do not live in the same era as when the Constitution was written. Doctors cannot be paid with a chicken or pie or work exchange, the bartering system is not allowed in the Health Industry. So we have people who work but cannot afford Medical coverage period, this party would not support them in having any help in this area. So I'm still looking...As are 44 million and growing uninsured working men and women of America. We need government to give universal health care OR make a law that calls for insurance companies to base premiums on income not coverage.
Government is the reason health care is so expensive. When government gets involved in anything the price goes up. We have medicare, medicaid, the prescription drug bill etc. Doctors can charge what they want because they know its going to get paid. People that get their bills paid with the above programs don't care how much it costs because it does not come out of their immediate pocket.
Get government out of the health care business and the price will go down. Universal or government health care for all is just socialism/communism under another name. And its not free. It may seem free to you, but the reality is that they had to take the money from another American to pay for your medical bill under that system. Thats theft. Plain and simple.
Cheap health care is not a right. The Constitution does not guarantee happiness, just the pursuit of it. You seem to be saying that the Constitution is irrelevant, A document that has guided this country well for over 200 years. Thats scary.
Also the CP would not destroy anything that is not called for in the Constitution. If its not in the Constitution then it is delegated to the states. Perhaps one of the states would institute a health care system. Thats up to them. But they would'nt be able to tax Americans in other states to pay for it and people who did not want to participate could move to another state if they desired.
Th Constitution Party would take the power away from the federal government and give it back to the states. The people that live in each of the individual states better know how to run their lives than some bureaucrat in Washinton. Giving the power back to the states is giving the power back to the people where it belongs.

Yes, Yes, turn all power back to the market place with no governmental controls. Medical cost will go down for all, everyone will be able to afford medical premiums, or pay for it themselves. CEOs of pharmaceutical companies, CEOs of Insurance companies, Doctors and Lawyers will all reduce their pay to allow everyone to get health care. Big business has aways looked out for its employees and their costumers without the need for over site by government.
If ya believe that, I got a great buy on a bridge in San Fransisco for ya.
In the meantime you feel a working citizen who's employer drops health care coverage and who cannot afford to pick up the cost on his own, has by his predicament no right to health care? He has to wait till he qualifies for old age Medicare, or Medicade?
And if I understand you would do away with them also!
When there is real competition in the market place, prices generally go down. When the government gets involved it adds a layer of bureacracy that eats up a portion of all the money taken in before any of it gets disbursed to the people who need it. Plus your Congress has already spent all medicaid or medicare money. We are 9 trillion in debt. Where are you going to get the money to subsidize another socialist program? Our country is broke.
Where does it say a employer has to pay for an employee's health insurance? Is this some kind of law or something? Health care is not a right. You can't and shouldn't make employers give employees health benefits. If they choose to thats fine.
And yes I would do away with continuing those programs. But we need to honor the commitment that was already made to our current seniors. If people want to put money away for helth care they can open their own savings account. That way if they never need it they get to keep their money and use it as they see fit. Instead of sending it off to the insurance companies or having the government take it out of your paycheck by force. I don't need a nanny state taking care of me.
But like I said, if you put the power back in the states then it would be up to each individual state to decide wether or not they want "free healthcare" for everyone.
We need to pay attention to the document that secures our God given rights, the U.S. Constitution. We all would be better off if we did.

To the comment about get government out of Health Care. First let me say that I believe Democracy and the Capitalism are the best governmental and economic systems in the world. Having said that, I recognize that not all ideas of conservatives or liberals are bad just based on them being conservative or liberals. And also recognize not all ideas in Capitalism or Communism are bad just because of the Name of the system that thought of it. We know that those who have money can afford Health care, we know that those on the dole are currently qualified for health care paid for by the government, now we come to the 44 and growing number of people who are working Americans who have and are loosing health care coverage at a growing rate. What say you to them sir. Is Capitalism so cold as to even look at methods for these people to survive a health crisis and not have to sell everything they have gained to pay the bill.
I would say that to reject a solution just because it's born of a communist is beyond my understanding. I guess in our society, humanity takes a back seat to the almighty dollar. Oh, maybe if we demand as voters that we have an accounting of our tax dollars spent in governmental programs, maybe Doctors and Hospitals will not get what they ask. Maybe our government will stop paying $600 for toilet seats and $400 for hammers. Why do Congressmen and other government employees get universal health care coverage, some for the rest of their life even before they are old enough to retire.
All I ask is us to take a bi-partician look at a meaningful method of giving access to medical care back to those who are working Americans who are making every attempt to play by the rules. I offered my thought of Universal health care. If you don't like that "communist" idea. Or some how make premiums based on income. What idea do you offer. It's easy to poo poo another's idea and not come up with your own. In the mean time the number keeps growing for those without insurance. How high does it get before something is done?
First, Democracy is the worst form of government in the world. Thats why our founding fathers gave us a constitutional republic. A democracy is 51% of the people taking away the rights of 49% of the people. Our founders hated Democracy.
It is neither right or constitutional to take money by force from one American and give it to another to pay for health insurance. Thats theft.
I do feel for people with out it. But there are many charities and Churches out there that will help individuals with there bills. Stop making the Government our nanny and let the churches and charities do the job. They want to help. Plus government intervention is the problem, the sooner we solve the problem the less people will be adversely affected.
Government involvement equals waste on a massive scale as well as above average incompetence. Do you remember hurricane Katrina? Thats what happens when we depend on government to be our savior. I have already given you my solution. Let the states decide. Let people put money away into an account for themselves instead of sending it off to an insurance company never to be seen again.
Personally I am a member of a plan that is put out by http://www.samaritanministries.org/ . When I pay my premium, I send it directly to the individual who needs it, not to some big insurance company. It has worked well for us and its not real expensive like the big companies. Thats the solution that works for me.

Hay, Admin, your right, we have NO constitutional right to pay for universal health care. We also have no constitutional right to support the FDA and other agencies that tie the hands of those who cannot afford approved, sanctioned, holier than thou medical eestablishment as we have here in the United States. Were only patented medicines and procedures are accepted. Thereby holding citizens to a captive market as dictated by the AMA, FDA, Pharmaceutical Companies and Insurance Companies. This is not a free market place where things even themselves out but a government sanctioned monopoly.... Alternative medicine for the most part is outlawed in favor sanctioned patented treatments. An Orange IS NOT A CURE for SCURVY in America. Pharmaceutical companies are lobbing overtime to further curb natural remedy ads and practices. People are dying while they wait for Insurance approval for needed treatments. So if you think a universal health care program is to communistic and unconstitutional then at least open the door for those who cannot afford our health care system alternative medical help. 80% of the world population does not rely on western medicine..... But we by our laws have to.... Even when we can no longer afford it....
Well Admin Has got a point. It's unconstitutional to force the cost of health care on the tax payer. And most like Admin would have you believe that private charities should cover those who can not afford health care. Oddly charities cannot keep up with it now why would they be counted on in the future. The guest above is also right, we are locked into a captive market. So what is the answer ADMIN? Constitutionally the Government is not allowed to have universal coverage for the masses only the elite government officials. We know Charity cannot be relied on to take up the cost of a growing number of uninsured. So what do we do admin? Euthanize those that are suffering maybe.
TO ADMIN, TELL ME HOW THE MEDICAL FIELD IS AN OPEN MARKET BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION?
Back on subject, and one step further, academia mainly in the fields of science by its actions against students of science and peers require an atheistic view by all involved! Any would be scientist or those in teaching science have got to hold Darwinism and the theory of evolution as scientific fact. Many Scientist who find an underlying design in the actions of the Universe or even life itself will be black balled, loosing tenure or not being hired after graduation. In the Congressional investigation into the firing of one professor, the Congress in its finding were outraged at the closed minded scientific community against this professor!
What did it accomplish, nothing, those in power have learned not to leave so heavy a paper trail against the person of focus who dares promote any other theory other than evolution and natural selection.
If everything could be scientifically proven then it would no longer be accepted as faith but fact. If Jesus was proven to have died and rose back to life. Then faith would not be needed as it would be a fact. Science is stuck in the material world and will never accept what is not materialistic. Science does not hold ALL the answers to the material world and refuses anything to do with the spiritual one.
