Americans angered by the President and other pro-amnesty supporters insistence on shoving an Amnesty bill down our throats, brought havoc and shut down of the capital phone system being flooded with outraged calls to Senators to oppose amnesty.
The effect was not in vain. The Senate voted NO to cloture on the thinly veiled Amnesty bill. Effectively kicking it to the curb a second time.
Border Security which is the foundation of National Security should never have been tied to a controversial bill like Amnesty. Basically, Only if Amnesty is approved will we get an effort to secure the border and enforce laws. Our Security was held ransom to Amnesty being paid.
The Citizens rose up as never before against this attempt. Now is the time to demand that our borders be secured, immigration and hiring laws be enforced. The President and pro-amnesty supporters will sit on their fat behinds in Congress and the White House and do nothing further regarding border security and illegal immigration if we let them.
President Bush pulled out a $4.4 Billion dollar carrot out of the hat for border security IF Senators would support the amnesty bill. Now that the Amnesty bill has been kicked to the curb, we will not hear about that $4.4 Billion carrot again. Doesn't that tell you where their priorities are? It's not border security, it never has been...
Don't let up on them, do not let them drop the ball on Border Security, enforcement of immigration and hiring laws. Push your Senators and Congressmen to deal with this issue NOW without Amnesty. It's time we hold their feet to the fire, and tell them in plain English: NO MORE POLITICAL GAMES.
Our Constitution, their oaths of office, the 1986 Amnesty bill, the 9-11 attack, the 2006 Border Security bill, many National Security reviews and findings, FBI and DEA findings ALL demand EFFECTIVE BORDER SECURITY.
We have won a battle but pro-amnesty supporters vow to come back to fight again.
Immediately after the vote was taken, Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) stood on the floor of the U.S. Senate and said: "It WILL come back, it's only a question of WHEN!"
The WAR is still on.

I think that immigration is all good for what it may be representing, but on the other hand I don’t agree on how some immigrants come over. Illegal immigrants are not good. Some immigrants have been working a lot of their lives to come over and I don’t think its fair for illegal immigrants just to get a free pass.
Giving Immigrants amnesty is just a simple way out of the bigger problem. Granting amnesty to illegal immigrants will just tell them that it is ok to immigrate here and make it even worse. This problem needs to be fixed but amnesty is not the way to do it.
I think some of these immigrants are not good, like the 9-11 attack but you cannot basic that on every immigrant that wants to come to a state that is "free". Okay some people will get scared, i agree. But there is no way to find out who is bad or who is good. That's just how life is. Some of these immigrants have been working just to come in the United States but wants this bill is pasted then everything will change. They wouldn't have to work so hard just to come in to a state that they would enjoy.
i dont think immigration is all good because from personal experiance, like wiyth family and things like that. immigrants can cause problems around the job area because there there willin to work for less than the minium wage
I think it is fine for immigrants to be here. I just feel that it is not ok for illegal immigrants to be here. What they don’t understand is that yes they may have some jobs, but if they were legalized they could be getting treated and paid just as much as everyone else. On the other hand sometimes immigration is not ok, for instance the 9/11 disaster. That could have been prevented had we not allowed people to migrate here.

I think that it is ok for immigrants to be here as long as they are legal and not illegal. I just think that if every immigrant was to become legal that they would like the treatment much better and would have better jobs. And also get more respect. But sometimes you have immigrants that are legal that can also cause problems and do stupid stuff that may hurt others. I think that it is ok for immigrants to be here but at the same time I dont
I totally agree with the amnesty bill. They need to build a border. They need to so that the immigration and hiring law can be enforced. There are to many immigrants casing trouble for everyone. I kno it isnt fair but in my eyes its the right thing to do. Many people say its alright for them to come in America in be just like we are. The thing is that they are not from America they are from a different country They just cant come in and try to act like they are American cause it wont work out like that. Its fair to some people but not to all.
Giving the illegal immigrants amnesty is not the way to go. We are basically telling people that come over here illegally that its okay and that they come and soon we'll be overcrowded and economy would take a major fall.
Id have to agree with the amnesty bill. Immigration is sucking our economy. We are losing lots of money because they wanna cross the hot desert and die on american soil.
I can see why they want the war to continue, but its not for our benefits, its for the government. Our soldiers are getting killed because our government want to be selfish.
I think that the war is a waste of time and soilders are dying for nothing and bush just needs to send them home.
These last to comments are off subject of illegal immigration. Don't know what the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts have to do with immigration?
