Joseph: He never accused anyone. He accepted the hand of God. He was unique, powerful, and God prospered him. We can see the mercy of God, God's presence in his life, and how he blessed Joseph wherever he went. God blessed Joseph even in the 13 years of prison. Even Potiphar believed in him and trusted in this man so much.

Joseph was thrown into the pit->had a difficult prison time-> then he went to the palace of the Pharoah. God has to break, mold, and get to the end of yourself-> that's when you reach out to God and he delivers you.

Hebrews 11: The Hall of Faith
Hebrews 11:22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
Joseph in a sense prophesies-he can see the day of his people's deliverance-he said, "take my bones," it means he does not want to be identified with Egypt-We are in this world, but not of it. Joseph saw the departing of the children of Israel.

Joseph had a tremendous insight-when he died-gave commandment concerning his bones.

Incredible pain-personal struggles-favored by his dad-hated and envied by his brothers-had to rise up and live by himself-early in his life-had a dream-it had a profound influence on him-the moon and sun were bowing down to him

Jacob pondered, but the brothers were angry; he had a colored robe, sold... God began to bless him. Potiphar's house. God was with him; this was God's will; taken from family; not bitter; "this is where God has me" "DO MY BEST with where God has me." Am I doing my best? God doesn't give us more until we are faithful in the little things. Important in small things. Rulers. Stewards of that which he has given to you. The dream took a hold of his heart. He was set apart-isolated boy-God looks upon him and hangs out with him. Isolated? God's appointment. God revealed himself to Joseph.

He didn't quit/didn't complain. He was like Nehemiah who saw the through the rubble and saw Jerusalem. He was like Moses who saw God's face. He was like Paul -determined. Then, God opened the door. His faith started early in his life. When Jacob was in that place of Bethel. Joseph knew God was there. God was in charge. Never took advantage. His life was mocked, criticized, accused. 13 years in prison. He never stopped loving God. God is so faithful. God saw and blessed him. He didn't run away from God. Endurance-By faith, Joseph.... He had a dream-confidence-willing...

without a vision-my people perish. Without a direct vision from God, people perish...
We usually run away from God. God wants your heart. He wants you. You give up you. He came for you. Jonah-I want you. The moment Jonah went, the storm stopped and everything was at peace. God will test you. Your faith needs to be tried. Really temped. You might not stand. Your faith is weak. He will purify, separate, take and discern...The devil will tempt you to tear you apart and to destroy you. You look to the LORD, run towards the LORD; you have a choice. Are you going to run to the LORD or run to the devil? Who ya gonna run to?

Complicated? Major things going on in your life? Joseph was sold into slavery. He experienced TOTAL REJECTION. He was bound, naked, distressed. God might be in this. Trust God and his provision. Things are about to happen. Potiphar and his wife. She seduces him, but he set himself up. He shouldn't have gone inside the house alone. 13 years. Not bitter; didn't get upset; the butler remembered at the right time. God allowed these things.

Genesis 41:16 And Joseph answered Pharoah, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharoah an answer of peace. Genesis 45:5Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

a great deliverance-"ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you..."

Potiphar could have killed him; don't ever blame yourself "you can't hurt me" God is going to deliver you-only God can make you make great decisions in your life-dependence-"faith which suffers"
