You have to decide to agree with authority. You have to decide to agree with God. It’s amazing how clearly that they understand . Teenager says to the police officer, “I don’t understand.” No, it’s really because you just don’t agree. I’m going to teach you to discern.
This is going to be about music. I deal with the common people that don’t know about music. It’s like getting everybody to understand Greek and Hebrew. (It takes time). Not everyone is going to understand music…
We began this summer, in North Carolina, morning service, we had the biggest invitation simply because where the kids chose to agree about music. They were like, “Now help me to understand.”
The power of music. Music affects the body, soul, and spirit. The type of music will affect you. You will be the one who will pay. Even as God is a triune God, so is man. Body soul and spirit.
I couldn’t get an actual picture of Adam and Eve. We had it, but they wouldn’t approve it. Notice Genesis 3:5, then your eyes will be opened. Knowing good and evil. Satan beings with deception. Mixing truth with lies. They knew good already. He was just offering evil. Satan was given the right to affect our thinking.
Good vs. evil. Now for every good choice-truth, there is a corresponding evil choice. God says, they will teach my people what is profane and holy. That is why the holy and the profane. God says where you are in a world, counterfeit, teach my people to discern it. Satan is a counterfeiter. Number one weapon in the warfare is music. Music is one of the powerful means of influences in the earth. Music is the form of worship; Satan was created to worship God through music. Music is the tool that Satan uses to; he mocks God, he uses it against God.
Music is also made up of three parts. Beat. Words. Melody. Just like triune God. Each part of music appeals part of a man. The beat affects the body. The words affect the spirit. The melody affects the soul. The words of the song affects our spirit. Right words, so many times, you defend music.
Phillipians : whatsoever things, if there be any virtue, think on these things.

The melody is that which touches our soul. Our emotions -our spirit will touch the ….Instrumentation. will affect the music –instrumentation-is melancholy. It causes you to mellow, not to worship God. The mood and emotions cause us to worship.
Desire to worship God.
An even beat . beat of the heart- peace. God is a God of peace. An uneven beat leads to The beat goes with the heart. Allows the body to respond to the bodily appetites.

You know what happened?You didn’t have a desire to worship God. You had a desire to move.
The beat will propel us to do one or two things. That is what rock music is. Sensual or sexual activity. Drinking beer, taking drugs, elicit sex, drugs, it may just cause you to march, it may cause you to worship God, if the beat is in tune with God
We can determine what the music is telling us tell what the music is telling us to do. God’s music appeals to the the spirit. The soul, and the body. God’s music: Spirit, soul, and body.

Satan’s music appeals to the body and flesh first. Satan wants to get the body first. Then the soul, and then the spirit. The words don’t really matter anymore. He wants to grab your body right away.

How does it affect your spirit? It quenches it. Oh, it affects your spirit.
When Satan wants to push his agenda, Satan uses beautiful, hypnotic music to appeal to our soul, and then to our body, and then to the spirit….

Soul body and spirit. - Country, Rhythm and blues, soul, Heavy Music, hypnotic, and sucking you in. soul, and you go to sleep to it. Hypnotic, soul, and you go to sleep to this, but they are trying to grab you. Just like the praise and worship stuff.
They know exactly what they are doing. If they could grab a hold to your mind. We say to your girls, you have to keep control of your heart. Once your mind goes into music, they got your soul and body.
Spirit soul and body. God honoring music. You see, the last music that you listened to is depressed suicidal, someone who is discouraged, drug music, home of the blues, Memphis Tennessee, playing their music into oblivion, they are looking for help. Spirit, soul, body, God honoring music. This music comes out of a broken heart.
That heavy metal music is what they listen to they are looking for a solution. Their solution is death, suicide, and want to quench their spirit. They are looking for it to get comfort. They go to the rhythm and blues, drug music. They are looking for help.
Spirit soul and body music. This song came from a broken heart. This song came out of a broken time. There is an alternative when you are depressed. She sat down in tears and cried, “I need help.” There is another alternative when you are looking for help.

You’ve got two choices. One saying the answer is Self-destruction. Drugs and alcohol. Murder, The other says The answer is Jesus.

Soul spirit body
Spirit soul body
What’s in today. I’m talking about southern gospel, wide range, quartet music, southern gospel, this is a different structure. None of it fits God’s structure; it brings confusion, God is not the author of confusion.
Signature sounds, spirit soul and body. Oh you hear the words, Let me prove to you that it affects the body first.

Here’s the oddest. Confusing at the very best. Christian groups. Not all. I’m trying my best to get you to discern. You cannot discern until you come to the point, where you chose to agree with God. What does your music really affect first? God’s music touches the spirit first. Then, he reaches into my soul. If he moves my body, it’s simply to tears or to praise. I might sometimes clap my hands, but I’m gonna ask you sometimes, I want you to go back a couple of slides, to go to the spirit soul body, …
What do you want God to do in your life? You can continue to say, I don’t understand. I just don’t understand. You never will until you decide you agree. I want to agree with God. There is some of there, I beg you, let God speak into your heart. Look at your music. What does it do to you? What does it do to you? What does your music do to you?

I want God to help me discern about music. Give wisdom to choices I make. Along every path I take. So, when I complete the race, well done you will say. Hold on through the dark times. Hold on though the way seems too long. His grace is sufficient for thee. You can overcome that which attacks you and that which tempts you. He took nothing and made something out of me.
Father, please bring some sense and ability to discern to the people in this room. Unless if they chose to open up to your will, chose to understand, they never will, so please Holy Spirit, to convict and help us to be more like thee. I beg you, in Jesus’ name.
