"A leading US political journal has reported the results of a survey showing 14% of America's top foreign policy experts believe that the United States close alliance with Israel is damaging to its national interests. The foreign policy experts included former US secretaries of state, national security advisors, senior White House aides and other top political and miliatay officials. An Israeli government official told the Jewish press that 14% is a relatively insignificant minority, but admitted to being somewhat concerned by the numbers, "Considering the closeness and importance of our ties with Washington, this is something we need to watch."
