We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our constitution was made only for a moral and a religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
-John Adams
Pray for the people of God to turn back to morality and devotion to God.

Ah, the roaring 20s had its fall in the great depression, the people turned to God when all was lost.
When all their wants and needs are met they forget to give thanks but only want more, When people starve, they seek God...

Hey guest, do you know what was happening in the 20's concerning America's policy towards Israel at that time?

There was no Israel as we know it, only the Israeli people scattered. And in many areas being persecuted. Correct me if I am wrong... My point in my comment above is that only when Most personally suffer do they remember God. I believe this country, if it survives will only do so after a great suffering by its inhabitants. Then the truth of morality and religion will again be seen as a necessity not a burden..... And again its government will truly reflect the will of the people....

Oh yeah, thank you for your correction. I appreciate your time to answer my question, and good point about how suffering produces the good fruit that God wants-he wants to us to love him and be close to him. Thanks again!
