The basic reason for losing control of our government is two fold. Apathy and lack of education in the political process by everyday citizens and entrenchment of good ole boys in key positions of Congress.

Our colleges have for the most part fell LEFT in political views, becoming more and more resistant to any views by professors or speaking guest if it is conservative in nature. It really has become dangerous for conservatives to speak on some college campuses. Our grade schools and middle schools are following this same trend.
Open and balanced curriculum is a thing of the past. Basic Citizenship responsibilities are at most touched on in our education system today.

Entrenched politicians who look forward to a lifetime job swaying power over fellow Americans is the goal today. POWER is the trophy. Lack of action and politics as usual has been the results we can no longer tolerate.

We need term limits on Congressional representatives. We need to reduce retirement pay for Congressional retirees. They now get full pay and Medical after retirement. Will you when you retire? We then can cut them down to 3 terms in office then out for 1 term before re-running for office. This will force the good ole boys out of their seats for at least 1 term allowing new blood to bring in fresh ideas. In the mean time the good ole boy will have a whole term to get back into real contact with their constituents if he or she wants to be re-elected.

The stagnation of our Congress screams for a change. We then can work to cut special interest lobbing powers in the halls of capital hill.

This should be a part of the McCain and Palin reform plan. This is what citizens are looking for in Washington DC. REAL CHANGE.
